Comments: Deciduous broadleaf tree native to Japan, Korea and China. Compound leaves are 10" to 20" with alternate deeply serrated green leaflets. Small yellow flowers above the foliage in summer, which turn into large red to purple papery seed pods. Bark is brown and furrowed. Tree to 40' and as wide spreading.
