Comments: Broadleaf evergreen, native to Australia. First ones were planted in California in 1856. Probably is the fastest growing tree in the world. Dark green sickle-shaped leaves. White flowers in Winter. Fibrous peeling bark. Charles Shinn, a local nurseryman was involved in the development of the eucalyptus in California and was the first superintendent of Yosemite Park.
