Comments: Palms native to Chile. Sugar made from sap and candy from nuts. These are rare specimen for Northern California; planted approximately 1878. Formerly called J. spectabilis. Champion Trees--These are the largest trees of this species in the state. City of Fremont Landmark Tree.
